How to Join Minis

A Warm Welcome Awaits

We run annual auditions for new Minis every year. During the audition your child will individually perform a song and a short poem or part of a script which will have been given to them in advance to practice. They will also take part in a simple group dance routine. Before the audition takes place we will offer your child the opportunity to join us for one of our Friday rehearsals so that they can get a feel for our club and meet the Minis.

If you would like to apply to join Minis, please contact our Membership Secretary via email at

What's Involved in Being a Mini

Practice Makes Performance

Rehearsals & Safety

Rehearsals start at 5.45pm on Fridays in Westbury Park, ending at 7.30pm or 8pm depending on the time of year.

Rehearsals are run by our production team with two parent volunteers to help supervise the children. All children and adults attending Minis are required to abide by our codes of conduct, and we have a Child Protection Policy in place.  Junior school aged children must be collected by a parent at the end of the session. Senior school aged children may leave unaccompanied by prior arrangement.

Mini’s Theatre Club is for children who love singing and performing.

Enthusiasm and attitude are as, if not more important than experience and many children come to Mini’s with little or no experience of dancing at all!

However, by the show, most parents are pleasantly surprised at the progress made by an inexperienced child both in dancing and singing.

There’s always plenty to see, do and learn in a rehearsal, even if your child doesn’t have a lead role.

We expect members to attend every rehearsal and you should speak to us in advance if your child can’t make 4 or more rehearsals during the year.

Whilst no one can legislate for school commitments or illness we would ask that you plan holidays/parties etc around Minis rehearsal dates wherever possible.

Minis Theatre Club costs £120 a term and there is an additional supplementary show charge each year to cover the cost of costumes.
